You wake up daily, go to work, look after the children, hang out with friends, participate in the community, but yet you feel disconnected. You have numerous people around you, but you constantly feel lonely. You move through life existing. This is not to say that you are not doing well with all the things you’ve got going on; still somewhere inside you feel there is more.

I know – that was me. From the outside looking in I had a loving family, more friends than I had the good sense to be grateful for, a great career, real estate investment, etc. But there was something missing. For years I wondered what could it be; what was missing? One day I started looking from the inside out. Then I finally realized it—I was missing!

I was walking around the set of the Lifetime version of my life watching myself from a false screen. Ever feel like that? Someone else is playing you and you are just a by standing spectator? I had to yell, “Cut!” So I can reinsert myself back into my life. In order to do this, I searched within and I recognized the exact moment when I chose to live a shadow version of myself and disconnect. I was a young child when the baby sitter decided it would be a novel idea to pay me a visit at night.

I did the work and pinpointed the moment and subsequent moments thereafter when I began to walk in my life’s fire. Now what? What was my next step and how do I move forward because even with everyone around me I still felt isolated and fractured. I cried about it, talked about it, and got really quiet so I could listen to my guide. And it was in listening that an awakening began to stir.

8 simple words: who are you and why are you here? Those words sparked the inquisition which enabled my transformation to occur. When the dust settled and the smoke cleared for the first time, in a long while, I was home and connected.

Something brought you here. You’ve traversed the great divide and still cannot find the purpose in the journey. You are not living the fullness of you. My sharing the Ascension Code is to help you unlock the person you were destined to be.

The Ascension Code is an extension of my journey. It is the energy flow I had to become present to in order to connect. It has four simple joules: Be, Create, Impact, and Recharge. Joule is the unit used to measure energy / work. The way I use it – it’s another way of classifying expended energy. Correctly applied energy is beautiful and also a jewel (they’re homophones – smile).

By unlocking your signature Ascension Code, you become present to the joule/jewel you are and lead the charge with your divinely inspired appointing and gifts. No one else can accomplish this but you; and, if you refuse to align with it, you will forever feel incomplete and disconnected from your energy source.

The Joules of Enlightenment (JOE) are small embers given daily to spark conversation. It is my intention that the Daily JOE supports you on your journey by metering out small digestible nuggets for thought. They are meant to trigger reflection, reinforce beliefs, challenge the status quo, or do none of the above.

Some of the JOEs are generated by the inquiries in my mind. Other JOEs are gleaned from public figures. My prayer is that you’ll contribute your joules to the conversation and submit your own JOE for us to collectively digest.
